Roanoke Community Fall Festival

Join us for our community fall festival at Roanoke VIA Day School! We are inviting members of the community and VIA families for our Fun on the Farm Fall Festival on November 1 from 4-6:30pm.

We’ll have family-friendly activities and quiet spaces so all are able to participate. This event is free to attend. Contact Amy Foster for more information. Register here!

Continuing the Conversation

Save the date for February 12, 2025! Join a panel of experts from the Charlottesville community as we discuss themes from the documentary, In A Different Key. VIA’s CAAAS location will host break out sessions with video vignettes and conversation surrounding Employment and Autism, Police and Autism, Autism Myths, and Profound Autism. Our hope is that this event sparks conversations about how we can all make Charlottesville and our surrounding communities a more inclusive place to live. Sign up here!

PAST EVENTS

VIA Presents: “In A Different Key” Screening

VIA Centers for Neurodevelopment welcomed members of VIA’s community to a free screening of the documentary In a Different Key at the Paramount October 1, 2024. Our hope is that this event sparks conversations about how we can all make Charlottesville a more inclusive place to live.

CAAAS Roanoke Ribbon Cutting

We celebrated the grand opening of VIA’s latest addition, CAAAS Roanoke, with a community ribbon cutting in September 2024. CAAAS Roanoke serves the Valley as a center for our adult and adolescent participants, helping them live, work, and play to their fullest potential.

VIA Central Golf Tournament

Skanska hosted its ninth annual VIA Central Golf Tournament in June at The Club at Glenmore to fundraise in support of VIA’s programs. Thank you to Skanska for planning this event, and to both Skanska and Faulconer for being platinum sponsors!

VIA Family Festival and Community Walk

Our Spring event celebrated Autism Acceptance Month in April with our first Family Festival and Community Walk at Charlottesville High School’s outdoor track. Local community resources set up booths for attendees to learn more about the communities we serve, and our VIA volunteers served popcorn and cotton candy and organized sensory friendly games. This free public event included Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, face painting, and a hayride.

VIA VIP Appreciation Night

Our donors are vital to accomplishing our mission. We celebrated support from our VIP Circle members with a Night of Appreciation at Mockingbird restaurant in November 2023. VIA  donors and strategic partners met one-on-one with our Day School directors to learn more about VIA’s plans for future growth.
