VIA is hiring Behavior Technicians for all three locations. No prior experience is necessary and the required trainings and supervision to become a Registered Behavior Technician will be provided on the job at no cost to the new hire!
The VIA Adult Services (ADS) Behavior Technician provides direct instruction to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities within a classroom or community-based setting using the principles of applied behavior analysis. The ADS Behavior Technician will work with other VIA faculty to collect data on adult performance and may graph data and prepare learning materials and curriculum as requested by the ADS Program Coordinator.

The Center for Adolescent and Adult Autism Services (CAAAS) is seeking a Home and Community Support Coach (HCSC). This position will help individuals with autism achieve meaningful outcomes and improve their quality of life. Supports will be provided in a variety of community settings, but particularly in the clients' home setting. The HCSC work location and schedule are highly variable and dependent upon the daily staffing needs of several different home locations.

Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with students, and their primary role is to implement the academic and behavioral programs (specific to each student) set forth by the Classroom Supervisor. All Behavior Technicians receive intensive hands-on training, including the required training and supervision for the Registered Behavior Technician credential upon hire. Positions are full time, Monday - Friday.
A high school diploma is required (bachelor’s degree preferred) and prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license.

The Outpatient Behavioral Services (OBS) Behavior Technician, under the direct supervision of a licensed Behavior Analyst, provides 1:1 ABA services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The hours of direct service are provided through out the day and technicians are expected to bill 25 to 30 hours per week. This position involves working with students who exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behavior and participation in community outings. The OBS behavior technician works under the direct supervision of a licensed Behavior Analyst, provides 1:1 applied behavior analysis services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The direct service hours are provided on a block schedule.
This is a part-time, hourly position. Consistent hourly availability is preferred.
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience preferred in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Human Development or related field.

The BCBA consults, provides training to caregivers, conducts behavioral evaluations of clients and designs behavior and individual support plans for clients. This position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, communicating and continually evaluating the effectiveness of functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans and individual education plans for clients on their caseload. This role also educates, observes, assesses, and supervises the educational activities and service delivery of Outpatient program staff. The BCBA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Clinical Director of Outpatient Behavioral Services.

The Virginia Institute of Autism’s psychological services are expanding and looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the team! This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with demonstrable training and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder, other neurodevelopmental disorders, and comorbid mood disorders and behavioral challenges. A cognitive behavioral orientation that includes strong experience with evidence-based interventions is required; comfort with assisting in services for both young children and adolescents and their caregivers is preferred.

The School-Based Behavior Support Coach is seeking candidates for a School-Based Behavior Support Coach. This position will work under the supervision of the Associate Director of School-Based Services to help develop and implement behavioral programming in a variety of public and private school environments. The School-Based Behavior Support Coach collaborates directly with school system administrators and related service providers regarding student progress and needs.
This is a full-time position, responsible for maintaining a weekly billable caseload.
