The Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will collaborate with all members of a student’s IEP team to provide educational and behavioral programming based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Responsibilities will include assessing students’ repertoires, developing and/or modifying curriculum to meet individual needs, monitor skill acquisition, developing and overseeing the implementation of behavior support plans, developing data collection systems, and training and supervising direct teaching staff in Applied Behavior Analysis. The Behavior Analyst collaborates with school staff in their efforts to achieve the best possible outcomes for the students served and to create a culture of excellence at VIA.
The school BCBA caseload will consist of 8 to 10 students, with guaranteed 40 hour work weeks. Work weeks are from 8:00 – 4:00 Monday – Friday, with no nights or weekends. *The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification is a requirement for this position. Candidates cannot be considered if they do not hold the required certification or have completed the requirements to hold the certification.
