The adult services team at VIA is seeking a behavior technician. This position is responsible for conducting independent sessions or in collaboration with other adult services staff, in addition to running skill acquisition programs accurately and using evidence-based instructional technologies during prorgram implementation. The implementation of behavior support plans and additional instructional protocols is also a function of the position. This is a full time position requiring a valid driving license and the ability to assist with special projects.

The Adult Services (ADS) Flex Behavior Technician works across VIA’s Day Services and Employment Services to provide direct instruction to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities within both center or community-based settings using evidence-based interventions founded upon the principles of applied behavior analysis. When working in VIA’s Day Services, the ADS Behavior Technician will work with other staff to teach group activities, collect data, and prepare learning materials and curriculum as requested by the Supervisor of ADS. When working in VIA’s Employment Services, the ADS Behavior Technician will support individuals as they learn, perform, and maintain their job duties as directed by the ADS Program Coordinator. Day School Behavior Technicians provide 1:1 support to students with developmental disabilities who need a high level of support to achieve academic, behavior, and social goals. Behavior Technicians work with students throughout the day on communication skills, social skills, behavioral skills, sensory issues and other individually designed activities.
